Wayne Rooney undergoes nose surgery to repair career injuries

Former professional footballer Wayne Rooney has revealed the results of a recent nose surgery performed to correct injuries sustained during his playing career. The 40-year-old former Manchester United and England star explained on his ‘Stick to United’ podcast that he had broken his nose twice—once in 2015 during an FA Cup match and again while playing for DC United—leading to long-term breathing difficulties.

Rooney noted that while the procedure involved some discomfort and the temporary use of plastic tubes to aid recovery, the surgery was necessary to remedy his respiratory issues. He was recently seen in public with his wife, Coleen, while dropping off their 16-year-old son, Kai, at the Manchester United training complex in Carrington.
