Waze bug on Android Auto hides critical navigation data

A confirmed bug in Waze on Android Auto is causing critical navigation information to disappear, potentially impacting driver safety. The issue occurs when users switch from split-screen mode to full-screen mode.

When the transition to full-screen happens, the ‘journey information box’ vanishes, removing essential data such as estimated time of arrival, remaining distance, and upcoming turn instructions. While the information briefly reappears during traffic alerts or notifications, it disappears again once the alert is closed.

Users are currently unsure if the cause is a recent Android Auto update or a specific Waze build. As an official solution has not yet been released, the only current workaround is to remain in split-screen mode to ensure navigation details stay visible.
