Waze rolls out Motorcycle Mode and Gemini AI in the Philippines and other markets
Waze’s latest update adds a dedicated Motorcycle Mode that provides routes optimized for two‑wheelers, highlighting hazards such as potholes, speed bumps, narrow bridges and shoulder endings. The feature launches first in the Philippines, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Malaysia, Mexico and Peru, with additional markets slated to follow.
The update also introduces Google Gemini‑powered conversational voice search, allowing users to ask natural‑language queries for nearby services or fuel prices. A new Conversational Reporting tool lets riders describe traffic incidents in their own words, which are then turned into structured reports for the Waze community. Personalized Navigation learns individual driving preferences to suggest routes, while a Less Chatty Mode reduces voice prompts for those who prefer fewer alerts. The features are being rolled out gradually to Android and iOS users.
