Waze users report bugs with police and speed camera alerts

Waze users are reporting significant technical issues regarding the visibility and timing of real-time road alerts. Many drivers have noted that reports of police presence and speed cameras are either failing to appear on the map entirely or are disappearing immediately after being submitted.

In addition to missing icons, some users are experiencing high latency with audio and visual warnings, receiving alerts only seconds before passing a hazard. There are also reports of general hazards failing to display correctly.

On the Android platform, a specific software bug has been identified where the phone’s back button fails to close the application, instead minimizing it to the background.
