PGZ announces major defense partnerships and industrial expansions at MSPO 2026

At the MSPO 2026 defense exhibition in Kielce, Poland's state-owned defense group, Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa (PGZ), announced several strategic initiatives to strengthen domestic production and international cooperation.

Key developments include a partnership with Airbus Helicopters, PGZ, and ITWL to integrate Polish mission systems and weaponry, such as the LZS-12,7 gun pod and 70mm rockets, into the H145M helicopter platform. Additionally, PGZ signed a memorandum of understanding with Turkey's Makine ve Kimya Endüstrisi (MKE) to cooperate on short and very short-range air defense systems, including technology exchange and joint development.

To enhance domestic supply chains, PGZ and its subsidiaries signed multiple agreements regarding the 'polonization' of components for Jelcz military vehicles, ammunition production with Nitroerg, and the development of the San anti-drone system. Further industrial expansion is planned through the merger of Jelcz and RFK, aiming to establish a new production facility in Racibor.

Technological showcases included the debut of the Gladius 2 unmanned strike system by WB Group and the STAR Hyperion 8x8 armored vehicle. PGZ was also recognized as the 'Company of the Year 2026' by the Economic Forum.
