WBI Fashion Padel Nusantara tournament blends sport and fashion in Indonesia

The WBI Fashion Padel Nusantara event took place at Margot Padel in Ampera, South Jakarta on 7 August 2026, pairing a padel competition with a runway showcase. Organisers, led by Audi Pratama of the Warisan Budaya Indonesia (WBI) Youth Division, said the concept was inspired by tennis star Naomi Osaka and aims to bring a new cultural dimension to Indonesia’s growing padel scene.

Businesswoman Liliana Tanoesoedibjo publicly praised the innovation, noting that it could create fresh opportunities for athletes, coaches and the broader sports‑industry ecosystem. The tournament also incorporated charitable elements, with participants wearing sport‑fashion ensembles that reflect Indonesian heritage while promoting health and community awareness.

The initiative is described as the first in the country to merge competitive padel with fashion, seeking to raise the profile of the sport and encourage wider public participation.
