WDP raises €400 million to accelerate European expansion

Belgian logistics real estate group WDP has successfully completed a €400 million capital increase through an accelerated private placement. The company issued 20.6 million new shares to international qualified and institutional investors at a price of €19.40 per share, representing approximately 8.5 percent of the outstanding capital prior to the increase.

The capital raise was 5.4 times oversubscribed. The Jos De Pauw family, WDP’s reference shareholder, participated with an order of €10 million, which was fully allocated.

WDP intends to use the proceeds to accelerate investments beyond its current financing capacity of approximately €500 million. Key objectives include supporting the planned merger with Argan and fueling European expansion. Specifically, the funds will support growth in existing markets, further development in Germany, and the company’s first concrete investments in Italy.
