Weather Alert: Cold Front Brings Storms to Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg
A cold front moving from west to east is bringing unsettled weather across parts of Germany, including Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg.
In Bavaria, a low-pressure system is moving eastward, bringing rain and thunderstorms that are expected to clear by the morning. While sun and clouds will prevail for much of the day, afternoon or evening showers and thunderstorms are possible, particularly in Franconia and along the Upper Bavarian Alpine edge. Temperatures are expected to range between 21 and 27 degrees Celsius.
In Baden-Württemberg, the German Weather Service (DWD) warns of wind gusts in the lowlands and potential storm gusts on the Black Forest summits, reaching speeds of 65 to 80 km/h. Morning showers are expected in Upper Swabia, with afternoon thunderstorms possible in the north.
Conditions are expected to improve significantly starting Tuesday, with drier weather, more sunshine, and temperatures rising between 21 and 28 degrees Celsius through mid-week.
