Weather alerts issued for Querétaro and Oaxaca in Mexico

This event is expected to cause gradual temperature drops of between three and five degrees Celsius. In Oaxaca, the State Coordination of Civil Protection and Risk Management (CEPCyGR) has issued warnings for heavy rains and storms, particularly in the Sierra Sur, northern Isthmus, and Papaloapan Basin. These conditions are driven by the interaction of a cold air mass, cyclonic circulation, and a low-pressure channel. Additionally, coastal areas may experience high waves, especially near the Gulf of Tehuantepec, prompting recommendations to follow maritime authority guidelines.
