Weather alerts trigger road closures and safety controls in Argentina

In the province of Neuquén, multiple provincial routes have been declared impassable, particularly in the Andean zone. Key closures include Provincial Route 62 near San Martín de los Andes, Route 26 between Caviahue and Copahue, and Route 27 between Salto del Lago and Trolope. Other affected areas include Route 13, Route 23, and Route 67.

In Tierra del Fuego, a yellow alert for snowfall has prompted the National Commission for Transport Regulation (CNRT) to increase preventive controls at the San Sebastián border crossing on National Route 3. Working alongside the National Gendarmerie and other agencies, authorities are focusing on heavy cargo and passenger transport to ensure the mandatory use of snow chains. These measures are critical as San Sebastián serves as the primary land entry point for the province.
