Romania weather shifts from frost to warmer autumn temperatures
Romania is experiencing significant temperature fluctuations as autumn progresses. Early October began with cold mornings, with temperatures dropping as low as -4 degrees Celsius in Carpathian depressions, leading to localized frost and fog.
However, a warming trend is expected. Forecasts indicate that temperatures will rise above seasonal norms, particularly in the western regions like Banat and Crișana, where daytime highs may reach between 25 and 26 degrees Celsius. This warmer weather is expected to persist through the first decade of the month.
Agricultural conditions remain generally favorable for autumn tasks such as harvesting, transport, and sowing, as precipitation is expected to be minimal in the immediate term. While most regions will see sunny or variable skies, wind remains a factor in Dobrogea and Bucharest-Ilfov, which may affect certain field treatments. Increased rainfall is not anticipated until after October 13, when precipitation may become more frequent across the country.
