Maspalomas and Esposende advance major urban park and landscape projects
Significant urban and landscape transformation projects are underway in Maspalomas and Esposende.
In Maspalomas, the Oasis Palmeral project is transforming approximately 90,000 square meters of space. The renovation, which has a budget of roughly 6.06 million euros, includes the construction of a new lagoon, a network of walking paths, and the integration of native vegetation. Approximately 80% of the new paths are already completed, and the lagoon structure is finished. The project is expected to be completed by March 2027.
In Esposende, the new City Park is being inaugurated near the Cávado River landscape. The park features wooden walkways, green areas, and play spaces designed with natural materials to integrate with the local environment. The opening ceremony includes participation from Portuguese Minister of Environment and Energy, Maria da Graça Carvalho.
