Weather forecast: Storms for Messina and stability for San Marino
Weather patterns across parts of Southern Europe and the Mediterranean are shifting due to Atlantic influences and European anticyclonic activity.
In the Messina region and along the Tyrrhenian coast, an Atlantic trough is expected to trigger storm systems. These mesoscale convective systems may cause intense, short-lived rainfall and localized flooding, particularly in the northern Messina area and the Tyrrhenian strip. Following these storms, temperatures are expected to drop slightly, returning to seasonal averages for September, accompanied by clearer air due to moderate Mistral winds.
In other areas, including San Marino, an anticyclonic ridge is providing stability. Forecasts indicate sunny skies with temperatures ranging between 24 and 27 degrees Celsius. While conditions remain stable through Wednesday, a northwest front is expected to arrive later in the week. UV levels are noted to be at a medium-high level, requiring sun protection during peak hours.
