Weather forecast: Warmer temperatures and high winds expected

Weather patterns across parts of the Western United States are shifting toward warmer temperatures and increased wind activity. In the Desert Southwest, temperatures that have been below normal are expected to rise toward seasonal averages by the end of the week.

A Wind Advisory has been issued for Yuma County and portions of Imperial County, effective from 5 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Friday. Forecasters are tracking northeast and east winds with gusts reaching between 40 and 45 mph, which are expected to create dusty conditions. Residents are advised to secure loose outdoor items and patio furniture.

In other regions, warmer conditions are expected to prevail through the weekend, though cooler temperatures and increased winds are projected to return next week.
