Valencian Community faces extreme heat with temperatures exceeding 40°C
The Valencian Community in Spain is experiencing intense heat, with temperatures in the coastal areas of Valencia and Alicante expected to reach or exceed 40 degrees Celsius. This follows a period of extreme nocturnal heat, where locations like Dénia recorded temperatures as high as 33 degrees Celsius at 2:00 AM.
In the Valle del Vinalopó, yellow weather warnings for heat remain active in the province of Alicante. Residents in municipalities such as Aspe, Novelda, and Elda are advised to take precautions against high daytime temperatures.
A significant weather shift is anticipated starting Wednesday, bringing increased cloud cover, potential thunderstorms, and hail to much of the region, accompanied by a notable drop in temperatures, except for southern Alicante.
