Severe weather warnings issued for Germany and Paraguay

Severe weather alerts have been issued across multiple regions. In Germany, the Deutscher Wetterdienst (DWD) has warned of heavy rain, thunderstorms, hail, and strong wind gusts. Specifically, parts of southern Germany, including southeast Bavaria, faced warnings for heavy rainfall that could lead to the flooding of streets and underpasses. Additionally, wind speeds are expected to reach up to 100 km/h along the North and Baltic Sea coasts, with gusts up to 85 km/h predicted in Saxony and 70 km/h in the Berlin-Brandenburg area.

In Paraguay, the Dirección de Meteorología e Hidrología (DMH) issued a special bulletin for a storm front moving across the entire national territory. The alert warns of heavy rain, intense electrical activity, and wind gusts exceeding 90 km/h. The most intense convection and organized thunderstorm cells are expected to peak during the night and early morning hours, potentially causing flash floods, especially in the Asunción metropolitan area.
