Weather alerts: Storms and flooding impact Argentina, Mexico, and US

Severe weather patterns are affecting multiple regions. In Argentina, the National Meteorological Service (SMN) has issued a yellow alert for the Buenos Aires province due to expected storms, including potential hail and intense wind gusts. In the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires (AMBA), instability is forecast with rain and storms expected between Wednesday and Friday.

In Mexico, tropical storm Vance is being monitored in the Pacific. Its circulation is expected to interact with atmospheric instability, causing heavy to intense rainfall across western regions, including Sinaloa, Nayarit, and Colima, as well as parts of Baja California Sur and Durango. In Ciudad Juárez, recent heavy rains have caused significant flooding, leaving major thoroughfares like Avenida De las Torres and the Centauros underpass blocked by water, mud, and debris, requiring continuous drainage efforts by emergency services.

In the United States, Arizona is bracing for a shift in weather. While initially clear, a large trough is expected to bring scattered showers and thunderstorms to southern and central Arizona, including Phoenix, by Friday, with potential rainfall totals exceeding one inch in some areas.
