Weather forecasts issued for Rancagua and Coquimbo regions

Rancagua is expected to experience a day of significant precipitation on Thursday, October 22, 2026. The forecast indicates a 100% probability of rain, with temperatures ranging between a minimum of 12°C and a maximum of 20°C. Humidity levels are expected to be high, around 74%, with light winds and a maximum UV index of 7.

In the Coquimbo Region, higher than usual temperatures are forecasted for Saturday, October 24, and Sunday, October 25. Coastal areas and inland valleys in the Elqui and Limarí provinces will be most affected. In the Elqui province, temperatures may reach 24°C in La Serena and 30°C in Vicuña. In the Limarí province, Punitaqui and Monte Patria could see highs of 30°C.

Meteorologists warn that these elevated temperatures may cause snowmelt in lower altitude mountain sectors, potentially leading to increased river flows and the activation of ravines due to melting snow.
