Haiti weather: High heat and thunderstorm risks forecast

Haiti is experiencing persistent heat and the risk of thunderstorms across several departments. According to the Unité hydrométéorologique d’Haïti (UHM), temperatures are expected to reach between 33°C and 37°C.

Localized heavy rainfall and thunderstorms are anticipated, particularly in the Grand’Anse, Nippes, and Sud-Est departments. Other areas, including the West, Center, Artibonite, and North-East, may see rain during late afternoons and evenings. In the Port-au-Prince metropolitan area, conditions will remain hot with temperatures peaking at 37°C and potential evening showers.
