Weather fronts bring seasonal relief to Gulf Coast and Florida
Seasonal weather changes are approaching the Gulf Coast and South Florida. In Alabama, a slow-moving cold front is expected to bring cooler, more seasonal temperatures and relief from recent intense heat and humidity.
South Florida is also anticipating its first fall front, arriving Thursday night. While temperatures will remain warm through Friday, the front is expected to bring a drop in humidity and slightly lower temperatures by the weekend.
Regarding tropical activity, Tropical Storm Fay is forecast to dissipate over the North Atlantic by the weekend. However, the National Hurricane Center is monitoring a low-pressure area off the coast of Africa that has a high probability of developing into a tropical depression or storm later this week.
