Weather trends in Germany indicate dry conditions and mild temperatures
Meteorological forecasts for Germany suggest a continuation of dry weather patterns through the end of the year. In Lower Saxony, recent trends show a lack of significant rainfall despite temperatures remaining relatively high, with forecasts predicting temperatures around 15 degrees Celsius through late October.
Looking toward December, meteorologist Dominik Jung notes that while previous models suggested wetter conditions, current trends indicate a shift toward drier weather. While the northwest may see increased moisture, much of the country is expected to experience mild temperatures and potentially lower-than-average rainfall.
In Saxony-Anhalt, the dry summer has impacted mushroom growth. Martin Groß, chairman of the State Association of Mushroom Experts, reports that while recent rain has provided better conditions, the season is not expected to be exceptionally bountiful. Due to climate change, the foraging season is shifting later into the year, with frost expected to arrive later than usual.
