Weather warnings issued for Socotra and Yemeni coastal regions

The Civil Aviation and Meteorology Authority has issued weather warnings for several regions, forecasting thunderstorms and varying rainfall intensities. The Socotra Archipelago and parts of the western and southwestern mountain slopes are expected to experience thunderstorms.

Coastal areas in the south and west may see light to moderate rainfall, while active winds are anticipated near the southwestern coasts and the Bab el-Mandeb strait. In mountainous regions, including parts of Lahj, Hadramaut, Shabwah, and Abyan, scattered thunderstorms are possible.

Authorities have advised citizens to avoid valleys and flood paths, stay away from open areas during thunderstorms, and exercise caution regarding low visibility caused by fog in the southern and western highlands. In desert and plateau regions, weather is expected to be dry with rising daytime temperatures and potential sand or dust disturbances due to active winds.
