Webmotors integrates vehicle catalog into ChatGPT

Webmotors has integrated its catalog of nearly 500,000 vehicles into OpenAI’s ChatGPT, allowing users to search for cars using natural language. Currently in a testing phase, the feature is free to use and does not require a premium account.

Users can describe specific requirements in a conversational format—such as requesting an economical SUV for a family within a certain price range—and receive real listings including price, mileage, and technical specifications. The tool allows for conversational filtering, where users can refine results by specifying preferences like automatic transmission or maximum mileage.

To access the feature, users must connect the Webmotors platform to their ChatGPT profile via the plugins or apps menu. Sellers already listed on Webmotors will have their eligible vehicles automatically included in the AI search results without additional costs or registration.
