Webuild and Carabinieri extend partnership for infrastructure security

Webuild and Italy’s Carabinieri have renewed and expanded their protocol of cooperation for an additional three years. The agreement was signed by Webuild chief executive Pietro Salini and Carabinieri Chief of Staff General Andrea Taurelli Salimbeni.

The renewed protocol widens joint actions on legal compliance, anti‑mafia measures, personal safety, protection of strategic infrastructure, cybersecurity and risk prevention throughout the supply chain. It also introduces specialised training such as Hostile Environment Awareness Training (HEAT) for personnel operating in high‑risk environments.

Webuild is currently building 34 large‑scale infrastructure projects in Italy, employing more than 22,000 workers and relying on a supply chain of over 15,200 firms. The partnership underscores security and legality as strategic pillars for the group’s construction activities.
