WeChat introduces new private posting shortcut for Moments

WeChat has introduced a new “Private Moments” feature, providing a direct shortcut for users to post content visible only to themselves. Previously, users had to navigate through multiple permission settings to select “Only Me,” a process described as cumbersome.

Under the new functionality, users can access the feature via the path: “Me” -> “Moments” -> “Private Posting.” Once a post is published, it will display a “Set to Private” status, though users retain the option to convert these posts to public later.

Tencent customer service confirmed that the feature is currently undergoing grayscale testing on iOS and Android platforms. Development for HarmonyOS devices is reportedly underway, with support expected in future updates.
