Wedding trends shift toward multi-day events and second-hand attire

Wedding trends in 2026 are shifting toward extended celebrations and sustainable consumption. According to the Vows & Venues study by Hyatt, the traditional single-day wedding is being replaced by multi-day formats. This weekend-style approach includes Sunday brunches, which increases logistical demands for accommodation and catering.

New professional roles are also emerging, specifically wedding content creators. Unlike traditional photographers or videographers, these specialists focus on producing short-form content designed for immediate social media distribution.

Additionally, the second-hand market for wedding dresses is growing due to inflation and ecological concerns. Couples are increasingly utilizing specialized boutiques and generalist platforms like Vinted and Vestiaire Collective to purchase pre-owned gowns. This shift allows for access to designer models at lower costs and reduces the environmental impact of single-use garments.
