Wednesday Netflix series faces cancellation rumors after season 3 wrap

Filming for the third season of the Netflix series ‘Wednesday’ has concluded, but speculation has arisen regarding whether the show will continue beyond this season. The rumors were sparked by social media posts from Jenny Ayumi, Jenna Ortega’s long-time stunt double, who shared and subsequently deleted messages referring to the ‘end of an era’ and the ‘closing of a five-year chapter.’

While these posts have led fans to speculate about a potential series cancellation, no official announcement has been made by Netflix. It remains possible that the comments referred specifically to the conclusion of the stunt double’s involvement rather than the entire production.

The third season is expected to expand the Addams Family lore, featuring new cast member Eva Green as Ophelia, the sister of Morticia. Returning cast members include Jenna Ortega, Emma Myers, Hunter Doohan, Joy Sunday, and Isaac Ordonez, alongside Catherine Zeta-Jones and Luis Guzmán. The third season is projected to premiere in 2027.
