Week Without Driving and climate art exhibitions underway

The annual Week Without Driving is currently underway, running from October 1 through October 8. The initiative encourages participants to navigate their cities using public transit, bicycles, or walking instead of personal vehicles to highlight the necessity of diverse transportation options.

In Washington, the Nondrivers Alliance is hosting an event featuring law professor Michael Pollack at the University of Washington on October 5. Additionally, the Museum of Northwest Art in La Conner is hosting ‘Surge,’ an exhibition that brings together visual artists and scientists to explore the impacts of climate change on the Skagit basin through various artistic media.
