Weekend. 19 festival in Rovinj introduces new education program

The Weekend. 19 festival in Rovinj is set to expand this year, running from September 24 to September 27 across eight different festival formats. A major addition to the program is the premiere of Education. Weekend, a segment dedicated to the future of knowledge, skills, and education.

Božo Skoko, the program director for Education. Weekend and Vice Rector of Algebra Bernays University, emphasized that traditional degrees are no longer sufficient in a rapidly changing labor market. He noted that artificial intelligence is fundamentally altering how people learn, work, and value knowledge. The program aims to bridge the gap between academia and industry, featuring discussions with professors, scientists, entrepreneurs, and policymakers on topics ranging from AI to youth mental health.

Festival attendees can utilize the My. Weekend application for schedules and navigation. Logistics include a free festival shuttle service between the Amarin resort, Hotel Amarin, and TDR. The event also features various themed locations, including the Jack Daniel's bar and the Expo stage, alongside a dedicated Food Court.
