Weekend concert series kick off in Rio de Janeiro's Arena Bangu

Brazilian singer Seu Jorge opened the Rio de Janeiro weekend of 1‑2 August 2026 with a concert at Arena Bangu, starting at 19:00. His performance was part of the Enel Winter Festival, which also featured a joint show with rapper Marcelo D2 on Sunday.

Other acts scheduled for the weekend included pop‑rock duo Belo, singer‑songwriter Gabi Melim, hip‑hop artists Criolo and Rael, and a Friday night lineup of Luísa Sonza, Ludmilla and Marina Sena. On Saturday, the Gilsons, Anavitória and BK performed, while classic rock icons Paulo Ricardo and the band Blitz headlined a show at Espaço Hall in the city's southwest.

The cultural program also offered theater, with the comedy "Alta Sociedade" starring Julia Lemmertz and Orã Figueiredo, and a musical about modernist painter Tarsila do Amaral starring Cláudia Raia and Jarbas Homem de Mello at the Municipal Theater.
