Weekend festivals and cultural events across Czech towns
On July 31 and August 1 a series of free and ticketed events took place in the Czech Republic. In Jablonec nad Nisou the Volt brewery grounds hosted family activities, a medieval‑themed race on the Nečský River and a concert. Nearby Turnov’s Valdštejn Castle offered an evening walk with a fire‑show and a medieval day featuring sword‑play and historic cuisine.
In Sokolov, the Alfa Club held the Wostrey concert, the town’s wine festival was held in the Saint Antonín Paduánský monastery, and a free outdoor performance by IAM OSKAR filled the old town square. Fans of combat sports could watch the OKTAGON 92 event on a big screen at the cultural house in Kraslice.
These activities aimed to attract locals and tourists with music, food, sport and heritage programming during the long weekend.
