Weezer announces 2027 tour of Australia and New Zealand

American alternative rock band Weezer has announced ‘The Gathering Tour,’ a six-date arena tour scheduled for February and March 2027. The tour will visit Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane in Australia, before concluding in Auckland, New Zealand.

Joining Weezer for the tour are Third Eye Blind and Fountains of Wayne. The announcement marks a significant return for the supporting acts, with Third Eye Blind having not performed in Australia since 2011 and Fountains of Wayne returning to the country for the first time since 1999. The New Zealand leg will also serve as the live debut for both support acts in that country.

The tour is being promoted in connection with the band’s reported 20th studio album, titled ‘Weezer (Gold)’, which continues the group’s long-standing tradition of color-coded album titles.
