WeFairPlay awards honor sportsmanship in Bolzano

The fifth edition of the WeFairPlay initiative, organized by GS Excelsior in partnership with the Autonomous Province of Bolzano, took place at Fiera Bolzano to honor sportsmanship and social values.

Six awards were presented to individuals and groups who prioritized ethics, inclusion, and solidarity over competitive results. Notable recipients included Katharina Schuler, a footballer recognized for her fair play in South Tyrol, and Davide Seri, who received the best Open fair play award. Other honors recognized inclusive sports like baskin, a basketball tournament for youth facing oncological illnesses, and various acts of solidarity by marathon runners and young athletes.

Arno Kompatscher, President of the Province, emphasized that the event serves as a reminder that sport is a school for responsibility and respect, aiming to provide positive examples for younger generations.
