Wegenstettertal holds ecumenical harvest festival amid agricultural drought concerns

An ecumenical harvest festival was held in the Wegenstettertal region at the Sacher family's Dornhof in Zuzgen, marking the return of the service after a two-year hiatus. The event brought together representatives from the Christian Catholic, Roman Catholic, and Reformed churches.

During the service, concerns were raised regarding the impact of prolonged drought on local agriculture. Farmers reported that the conditions have been life-threatening for some businesses, forcing some to slaughter dairy cows due to a lack of fodder. To support those affected, donations from the service were directed to a support hotline for farmers in need.

The celebration included musical accompaniment from the Harmonika-Orchester Möhlin, led by David Meyer.
