Wegmans confirms new Manhattan location on Upper West Side

Wegmans has confirmed that it is moving forward with plans to open a second Manhattan location at 1932 Broadway on the Upper West Side. The store will occupy the space between West 64th and 65th streets, which previously housed a Bed Bath & Beyond.

Spokesperson Mandee Puleo stated that the company is currently designing the store and obtaining the necessary permits. While the company confirmed the project is underway, an official opening timeline has not yet been determined.

The development follows a period of uncertainty; earlier this year, the company indicated it was prioritizing its Astor Place location. The Upper West Side site has featured Wegmans signage since June 2024, though the storefront has remained vacant for an extended period.
