Wei Chuan Dragons cheerleader Peini defends attending games as a fan

Peini, a member of the Wei Chuan Dragons cheerleading squad known as the ‘Little Dragon Girls’, recently expressed her distress after receiving hostile private messages from a fan. The messages reportedly told her, ‘If you are just sitting there and not dancing, I hope you don't come again.’

Peini clarified on social media that she attended the game as a private citizen during her time off, rather than as a performing staff member. She explained that while she remained highly engaged and vocal in her support, she chose to remain seated to avoid obstructing the view of other spectators who wished to focus on the game. She emphasized that when attending games on her personal time, she is simply a fan who wants to support the team.

Other members of the cheerleading squad and supporters have since voiced their solidarity, noting that when they attend games on their days off, they are there as fans rather than employees.
