Wei Chuan Dragons edge Fubon Guardians 3-2 in extra-inning thriller

The Wei Chuan Dragons secured a dramatic 3-2 victory over the Fubon Guardians in a 10-inning contest. The game was defined by a spectacular defensive play in the bottom of the 10th inning, where Dragons outfielder Kuo Tien-hsin executed a diving catch followed by a quick throw to first base to complete a game-ending double play.

Kuo Tien-hsin was named the game's MVP, becoming only the second player in CPBL history to win the award despite going 0-for-5 at the plate. The victory also marked the eighth win of the season for reliever Lin Kai-wei.

Dragons manager Yeh Chun-chang praised starting pitcher Andrew Gagnon for his performance, noting he pitched seven innings and allowed only one run. Yeh also commended Fubon's new foreign pitcher, A.J. Candelario, stating that the quality of foreign talent in the league has become exceptionally high.
