Weidmüller employees set record in Detmold blood donation drive

Weidmüller employees participated in a record-breaking blood donation event in August 2026 at the company’s Detmold location. A total of 107 staff members took part in the 21st annual blood drive, which was held for the third time in the Peter-Gläsel-Schule sports hall.

The German Red Cross (DRK) Blood Donation Service West praised the high turnout, specifically noting the participation of 19 first-time donors and a significant number of young employees. The event is part of a long-standing partnership between Weidmüller and the DRK Lippe District Association, which has supported the company in training occupational first responders for over two decades.

Gerrit Plaßmann, Manager of Occupational Safety & Health at Weidmüller, stated that the initiative aims to help people in need and give back to the community. The company expressed its commitment to continuing its social responsibility through such collaborative efforts.
