Weightlifters secure gold medals at SUKMA Selangor 2026

Weightlifting athletes secured gold medals at the SUKMA Selangor 2026 games. Noor Hirzie Fariez Mustafa, representing Selangor, won the men's 79kg category by lifting 175kg, a new personal record.

In the women's 86kg category, Nur Alissa Sofea Mohamad Nor Wardi of Terengganu claimed gold. Her victory was marked by the return of her coach, Muhammad Amirul Hisham, who had previously been unable to attend competitions due to a lymphoma diagnosis but has since been declared cancer-free.
