Weija-Gbawe MP urges completion of stalled STEM school

Jerry Ahmed Shaib, the Member of Parliament for Weija-Gbawe, has called on the Ghanaian government and the Ministry of Education to complete the stalled Weija-Gbawe STEM school project.

The facility, which was initiated under the previous administration, is reportedly approximately 70 percent complete. While dormitories, dining halls, classrooms, and staff quarters are largely finished, roughly 30 percent of the work remains outstanding. Mr. Shaib noted that despite receiving verbal assurances from the Minister of Education, the project has not progressed.

The MP emphasized the urgency of the project due to the increasing pressure on Senior High School facilities. He noted that thousands of students faced placement challenges this year due to limited space, and completing this school would help alleviate that burden. He urged the government to prioritize educational infrastructure over political differences to ensure the welfare of students.
