Weimar hosts Open Studio Day and community events
The Weimar Open Studio Day on September 19 provided public access to the workspaces and repertoires of over 40 creatives. During the event, jewelry designer Ruth Maria Sahner presented her ‘Wasserläufer’ series at Sybille Richter’s shop. The collection, featuring silver, silk threads, and pearls, was inspired by water striders and coastal streams in Ireland. The exhibition will remain on display until spring 2027.
In addition to the jewelry showcase, artist Daniel Beer presented large-scale paintings at Mon Ami. Meanwhile, state parliament member Lennart Geibert scheduled a citizen dialogue at Goetheplatz for September 21. The Bündnis gegen Rechtsextremismus (BgR) Weimar also announced a discussion meeting for September 22, featuring guests from Magdeburg to share experiences regarding election results and solidarity.
