Weinheim fire department responds to alarm at social facility

The Weinheim fire department responded to a fire alarm triggered at a social facility operated by the Arbeiterwohlfahrt in the city center on Saturday morning. Upon arrival, emergency responders noted that several people had already evacuated the building.

Firefighters conducted an investigation using breathing apparatus and found that the alarm was caused by burnt food in an oven, which produced smoke but no open flames. No injuries were reported, and the building was ventilated naturally. The operation concluded after approximately thirty minutes once the area was deemed safe.
