Germany's Summer Open-Air Festivals Attract Thousands in Bad Windsheim and Castrop‑Rauxel

The Weinturm Open Air festival in Bad Windsheim will run from 7‑9 August 2026, expecting about 3,000 visitors each day. The three‑day event features a main‑stage lineup that includes Tyler Ballgame, Sylvie Kreusch and others, while ticket sales have started for weekend and day passes. The family‑friendly site offers free admission for children up to 12, shuttle service from the local train station, and designated camping areas.

In Castrop‑Rauxel, a series of open‑air events are scheduled for June 2026. The Naschmarkt on 11 June celebrates the town’s centenary with a jazz walking act, and additional markets will follow in July and August. The Westfälisches Landestheater presents “Harold und Maude” and a family show of “Die drei ??? Kids” from 12‑14 June under the “Bühne raus” outdoor programme. A Hospizfest on 13 June supports a local hospice project with music, food and activities. Weather forecasts call for mild temperatures and generally dry conditions during the events.
