The Weinviertel region in Austria will host the “Walking Against Violence” initiative from September 10 to 13, 2026. The four-day event consists of several stages designed to take a collective stand against violence towards women and girls. Participants are encouraged to join in person or via digital platforms from across Austria.

The hiking route begins on September 10 in Mistelbach, moving from Asparn an der Zaya to Ernstbrunn. The second stage on September 11 covers 15 kilometers from Großrußbach to Niederhollabrunn and features discussions with violence protection experts and femicide survivors. The third stage on September 12 travels from Stockerau through Leitzersdorf, and the final stage on September 13 concludes at Michelberg following a route through Leobendorf and Kreuzenstein Castle.
