Weiss Group announces leadership changes and celebrates logistics milestone

The Weiss Group and its logistics subsidiary Gebrüder Weiss are marking significant organizational milestones. Gebrüder Weiss is celebrating 20 years of its Maria Lanzendorf logistics hub near Vienna. Established in 2006 through a €55 million investment that consolidated seven separate locations, the site has grown to become the largest facility in the company’s global network in terms of area, revenue, shipment volume, and staff.

Separately, the Weiss Group has announced a restructuring of its leadership effective October 1, 2026. Tom Widdig has been appointed Chairman of the Executive Board, assuming overall operational responsibility. Leonard Weiss will take on a management role at the group level, focusing on strategic development and representing the interests of the founding family. The new structure aims to combine long-term company experience with external management expertise to strengthen decision-making and expand potential business fields.
