Weldcom expands automotive supply chain role with VinFast

At the Conference on Strengthening Localization and Supplier System Development 2026, organized by Vingroup and VinFast, Vietnamese companies Weldcom and Kimsen highlighted their growing roles in the automotive supply chain.

Weldcom, a partner of VinFast since 2018, has expanded from providing metal processing services and welding technology to designing and installing complex production lines. A major achievement includes re-establishing a nearly fully automated car body production line in Hai Phong featuring more than 200 robots.

Beyond Vietnam, Weldcom has acted as a general contractor for car body production lines in Ha Tinh, India, and Indonesia. Between 2018 and 2025, the total contract value between Weldcom and VinFast exceeded $200 million. To meet high technical standards and strict schedules, the company utilizes international experts and intensive engineer training.
