Wellbeing 360 conference addresses workplace engagement and AI integration

The Wellbeing 360 2026 conference, organized by the Instituto del Propósito y Bienestar Integral (IPBI) of Tecmilenio, recently gathered specialists to discuss workplace wellbeing and organizational purpose. The event highlighted a global decline in employee engagement, with Gallup’s State of the Global Workplace 2026 report placing global engagement at 20%, its lowest level since 2020 and resulting in an estimated $10 trillion loss in productivity.

In Mexico, the Factor Wellbeing 2025 study conducted by IPBI and Forbes México showed a high level of meaningful work (4.6 out of 5), but a decline in positive leadership perception. A significant challenge identified was the lack of time and energy for personal life after work, scoring 3.56 out of 5.

Parallel discussions regarding technological integration suggest that true innovation requires distinguishing between tasks that should be automated and those that require human judgment. Experts warn that companies often use artificial intelligence to mask mediocre processes or lack of leadership rather than enhancing human criteria. Effective digital transformation requires ensuring that AI supports decision-making and human value rather than simply accelerating inefficient workflows.
