Research suggests women reach sexual peak after age 40

New research conducted by Ashley Madison and YouGov suggests that many women experience their sexual peak at age 40 or later. According to the study, 45 percent of surveyed Ashley Madison members reported reaching their sexual height in their forties or older.

Relationship expert Dr. Tammy Nelson attributes this trend to a reduction in ‘spectatoring’—a phenomenon where individuals become overly focused on their physical appearance during intimacy rather than the sensation itself. As women age, they tend to experience less anxiety regarding body image and more focus on physical pleasure and personal preferences.
