Wellness Hanshin to launch Mizuno youth sports program at Koshien

Wellness Hanshin has adopted Mizuno’s multi-sport program, ‘MISPO!’, to promote physical and mental development in children. The ‘MISPO! Koshien School’ is scheduled to open in April 2027 at the Koshien Historical Museum Multipurpose Hall and Hanshin Koshien Stadium.

Developed by Mizuno and supervised by Professor Kazuhiko Nakamura of the University of Yamanashi, the program focuses on 36 essential physical movements. It utilizes a variety of sports, including baseball, soccer, judo, and badminton, to foster balanced physical growth. The curriculum is designed to encourage autonomy and cooperation by allowing children to observe, imitate, and communicate with peers in a group setting.

Instruction will be provided by Wellness Hanshin staff who have completed Mizuno’s certified instructor training program. The initiative aims to provide continuous sports opportunities within the local community and address concerns regarding childhood inactivity.
