Mental fatigue and sleep quality management strategies
Various approaches to managing mental fatigue and improving well-being focus on cognitive organization, lifestyle adjustments, and intentional rest.
To reduce brain fatigue caused by stress, experts suggest categorizing worries into three groups: those that can be solved immediately, those that can be solved later, and those that are impossible to change. For problems that are solvable but currently unmanageable, it is recommended to put them on hold to allow the brain to recover.
Small, low-friction activities known as ‘micro-hobbies’—lasting between two and twenty minutes—can serve as effective tools for stress reduction. Unlike larger hobbies that require significant preparation, micro-hobbies can be easily integrated into daily routines through specific triggers.
Regarding physical exhaustion, achieving eight hours of sleep does not guarantee feeling rested if sleep quality is poor. Factors such as irregular rhythms, stress, late-night phone usage, alcohol consumption, and diet can negatively impact deep sleep. Wellness coach Chavi Singhal of Ishva Wellness notes that frequent nighttime awakenings and environmental factors also play significant roles in morning fatigue.
